Liberation isn't a solo project.

The Messy Liberation Circle is a facilitated community of practice where you can learn, ask questions, build real relationships and be lovingly challenged with others by your side.

IT ISN'T A COURSE.
IT'S NOT A NETWORKING GROUP.
AND IT'S NOT ABOUT EXTRACTING YOUR MONEY, TIME AND ATTENTION.

This is a place to practice liberation with others on the same messy journey.

This is a space for anyone who...
✨
wants to build community on the journey toward liberation
✨
is ready to keep growing by learning new things and challenging their own biases
✨
wants to move from "I should do something" to actually showing up, online and in their own community
✨
values conversation over performance and curiosity over perfection.

This isn't for you if you're looking for a place to be told you're "one of the good ones," or if you want a business mastermind focused on scaling.

How It Works
Every month has a theme, and every week has its own focus.

Week 1: Learning Week
Suggested readings, discussion in Slack, a book club/study session and buddy check-ins.

Week 2: Author Week
A Messy Liberation podcast episode with that month's featured author, followed by a private conversation with them for Circle members only.

Week 3 · Community Week
Something fun and light (trivia, a happy hour, crafting), plus ideas for engaging with your local community.

Week 4: Affinity Week
Smaller gatherings based on shared identities and interests, plus encouragement to plug in where you live.

Every week: Gentle co-working
Show up, do your thing and enjoy the company. Nobody tracks your output.

A Community That Gives Back
This isn't a space where you just consume content. Every member helps make the Circle what it is:
  • Share a gift. Once a year, add an offering to our community library based on your skills, like a guided meditation, resume tips, a mending tutorial or a nature scavenger hunt.
  • Get plugged in locally. Take what you learn here into your own community in a way that's meaningful to you.
  • Show up early. In your first 3 months, join at least 3 events a month (co-working counts!) so you can get to know everyone.
That's what we mean by non-extractive. Everyone gives, everyone gets.
Hey there, we're Taina & Becky!

We are your community guides, Becky Mollenkamp and Taina Brown. We're coaches, friends, and hosts of Messy Liberation podcast. We're on a mission to help others understand the world through an intersectional feminist lens. We swear, laugh, and get it wrong sometimes, but we keep showing up anyway. That's the spirit of the Circle.
